A Derry teacher has won a major award.
Gavin Molloy of St Mary’s College, has been announced as a Silver Teaching Award Winner in the category “The Award for Outstanding use of Technology in Education”
.
Mr Molloy, made it through the shortlisting process and won The Pearson Silver Award for Outstanding Use of Technology.
The announcement was made this morning at a surprise assembly for Mr Molloy.
The mayor presented Mr Molloy with his award much to the delight of pupils, staff and friends of St Mary’s and to the surprise of Mr Molloy who was kept in the dark until Friday morning.
Mr Molloy has been a teacher of Technology & Design and Engineering at St Mary's College, Derry for 20 years.
