Scottish alt-folk band Salt House to perform unmissable first ever gig in Derry
The critically acclaimed Scottish alt-folk band Salt House will bring their tour to Derry this March for the first time ever.
Salt House will take to the stage in Derry's own New Gate Arts & Culture Centre on Thursday, 27 March from 8pm to 10.30pm. With tickets starting at just £12.50, this is an unmissable gig for fans of the band and maybe even some interested first-time listeners.
The band has built up a reputation on the folk scene over the past decade for their thoughtful and innovative interpretations of ancient ballads and contemporary music. With their latest album Kickstart being released in January of this year, the band continues to make their mark in music.

Salt House's sound masterfully blends heartfelt vocal and instrumental interplay which offers listeners a moment of reflection and connection. In their own words: "New songs that sound like they’ve always been here, ancient ballads woken up. Poems given melodies they’ve long deserved."
Band members Ewan MacPherson, Anna Hughes and Jenny Sturgeon take their inspiration from the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, Northumberland and Shetland, their respective home places. Their natural surroundings are seamlessly woven into the fabric of their sound.
Tickets for the show are still available on New Gate Arts & Culture Centre's website for what promises to be a fantastic night of authentic folk music.
