Muireann Bradley will perform on BBC2 on New Year's Eve
16-year-old Muireann Bradley from Donegal will ring in the new year in style having been asked to perform on the iconic Jools' Annual Hootenanny on BBC.
The show is presented by Jools Holland and broadcast on New Year's Eve as an end-of-year special edition of his series, with Muireann, a country blues, ragtime, folk blues and roots finger-picking guitar player and singer from Ballybofey part of the star-studded line-up.
“Big news! I can now announce that I will be appearing on Jools Holland’s annual Hootenanny on New Year’s Eve on BBC2,” she posted.
“So I will be ringing in the New Year with not only Jools and his amazing Rhythm & Blues Orchestra but the legend that is Rod Stewart, the fantastic Ruby Turner, PP Arnold, the SugaBabes, Olivia Dean, Joss Stone, RAYE, Paul Jones, the Mary Wallopers and the Pipes and Drums of the 1st Battalion Scots Guards.”
Jools Holland has introduced hundreds of established and new musical artists, from solo performers to bands and larger ensembles, since this program debuted on BBC2 in 1992. Muireann will be on screen from 11:30pm to 1:50am BBC2 and BBC iPlayer on New Year’s Eve/ New Year's morning.
