African athlete Freddy Sittuk smashed the course record to win the Walled City Marathon held in Derry this morning.
The Kenyan (pictured) broke the tape in 2 hours 22 minutes and 27 seconds to break the record he set in winning last year's event by just under three minutes.
Kenyan Peter Somba, competing in his first marathon, came second in 2.25.26.
Local athlete, Greg Roberts, of City of Derry Spartans, came third in 2.25.38.
