A man, who is accused of driving dangerously on Benone Beach, will go on trial at Derry Crown Court later this month.

Paul Doherty appeared before a preliminary enquiry at Limavady Magistrates Court today, accused of two counts of dangerous driving.

The alleged offences relate to an incident on Benone beach on July 21 last year.

During the short hearing, the 30 year-old declined to give any evidence or call any witnesses.

Judge Liam McNally ordered the accused, whose address was listed on court papers as Ballynahone, Donegal, to return for trial at Derry Crown Court on February 20.
