UNISON seeks Health Minister meeting as Save Causeway Hospital Campaign continues

A public meeting on Thursday, August 13 at 7.30pm in Coleraine Town Hall
UNISON has written to the Minister of Health requesting a meeting to discuss the future of emergency general surgery at Causeway Hospital, following the previous removal of consultant-led maternity birthing services.
UNISON have organised a public meeting on Thursday, August 13 at 7.30pm in Coleraine Town Hall.
The Minister of Health, Mike Nesbitt MLA and all local elected representatives will be invited to attend and hear directly from the people they represent.
James Large, UNISON Regional Organiser, said: "The people of the Causeway Coast deserve to have their voices heard before any further acute services are lost. Whilst a listening event took place in Coleraine, this was some time ago now.
“We are inviting the Minister and every local elected representative to come and listen directly to the community, patients and staff about why emergency surgery at Causeway Hospital must be protected."
UNISON is encouraging everyone who supports the future of Causeway Hospital to attend the meeting and make their voice heard.
