Free children's storytelling event to take place in Derry tomorrow

The Inner City Trust has teamed up with The Little Legends Club to bring a free storytelling festival, for all the family tomorrow. “Tales in the Garden” will feature incredible storytellers including Amelia the Friendly Monster (little legends club), Frank Rafferty, Teknopeasant and The Hedgehog Prince(Banyan Theatre). Come along to hear wonderful stories being brought to life by some of the city’s best performers in the beautiful surroundings of the Garden of Reflection. This Storytelling Festival offers children a great opportunity to experience the magic of storytelling through unique live performances. A day that promises to be filled with fun, terrific tales and music. A range of topics will be covered through different stories, all of which, aimed at encouraging children to read and delve further into their imaginations through reading. In the words of Dr. Seuss "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you'll go." As well as storytelling, there will be face painting and balloon modelling throughout the day. Tales in the Garden - Saturday 18th August 12-4pm at the Garden of Reflection Gallery, 16 Bishop Street
