AFTER losing last year's D'Alton Final, Maghera made no mistake with a convincing 4-12 to 3-7 win over St Patrick's Cavan in Friday's decider in Armagh.
Despite a first half goal from Gary Scott, Maghera trailed by two points at half-time, with Cavan good value for their lead.
It was a transformed side after the break. Michael Mulholland and Jodie McDermott led by example at midfield. Mulholland scored 0-5 over the game and Fergal Coyle scored an early second half goal and Maghera didn't look back. McDermott and Shea McKenna scored further goals as Maghera eased their way to glory.
