Donegal champions Kilcar will face Derry's Slaughtneil in the AIB Ulster Club Senior Football Championship semi-finals.
Kilcar proved to be much too strong for a fancied Scotstown in today's quarter-final in Clones.
The full time score was: Kilcar 1-16, Scotstown 1-6
Kilcar got the first point on the board through Patrick McBrearty but Conor McCarthy then fired in a goal for Scotstown to put them 1-0 to 0-1 ahead after four minutes.
Indeed, it was the McBrearty and McCarthy show for much of the first half with the two men emerging as the key players on each side.
The sides were level after 20 minutes, Kilcar 0-6, Scotstown 1-3.
But Eoin McHugh then brushed past two players to score a great goal and put pacy Kilcar 1-6 to 0-6 ahead.
Patrick McBrearty then pointed from a free (his fifth point of the game) to give Kilcar a four point advantage and they added three more points to extend the lead out to 1-10 to 1-3 at half-time.
Kilcar were never really in any bother in the second half and the Monaghan champions just could not match the Tamney side.
Ryan McHugh was to the fore in the second half and his fourth of the game left them leading 1-14 to 1-6.
They pegged on two more points to win by a margin of ten.
Last night, Slaughtneil beat Omagh St. Enda's by 0-10 to 0-8 in their quarter-final.
