DERRY schools St Mary’s Limavady and St Mary’s Clady advanced to this season’s O’Doherty Cup quarter-finals with two landslide victories this week.
St Mary’s Limavady 2-20 SRC Newry 1-3
Paddy O’Kane suffered injury time minute heartbreak with a late miss in last year’s the All-Ireland semi-final defeat against Charlestown.
Over the summer he bounced back with a season in the Faughanvale senior team. On Thursday O’Kane rattled up a tally of 0-15 as Limavady romped to a convincing win over Southern Regional College Newry.

St Mary’s Clady 3-18 Deele College Raphoe 1-5
On Wednesday at Owenbeg, Clady sealed their place in the last eight. After leading 2-9 to 1-2 by half-time they kept their foot on the gas to run out easy winners.
Clady now play Largy College Clones in the next round.
