On Friday at Killymoon Golf Club, Ballinderry Shamrocks launched their 'Ulster Club Open' Golf Classic planned for Friday 8th July.

All proceeds will go towards their new 4G Floodlit pitch and skills wall.

The new development project will be named the 'Aaron Devlin Pitch' in memory of the talented Ballinderry star who passed away in July 2015.

Speaking at the launch, chairman Pearse Cullen outlined the club's vision.

"We discussed doing something in memory of Aaron and something that would be a fitting tribute and a lasting legacy to one of our brightest stars."

Already clubs from Derry and further afield have signed up to the event.
