Doire Colmcille 4-10 Ardmore 1-15
DERRY U21 forward Dean Curran hit a point in the first minute of Wednesday's encounter, putting him on course for another fine scoring performance.
The sides were level at half-time with an experienced Ardmore side playing some terrific football. Dean Curran found the net for Colmcille with Kevin Hartop bagging Ardmore’s goal as they had a wide spread scorers through their side, but were missing Anthony Hargan.
In the second-half it was the home side who moved up the gears for victory. Dean Curran, Marc McIntyre and Richie Stewart added three further goals. Ben Gallagher lit up the second half with lovely score from 30 metres following his run up the wing.
Ardmore's game with Dungiven has been refixed for Friday 7.00 in O'Cahan Park. Colmcille host 2016 champions Magilligan on Saturday at 6.15.
