Two weeks ago former British Prime Minister John Major was in Derry in a visit that virtually went unnoticed.
The former Conservative leader was in the city along with another former resident of No 10 Downing Street, ex-Labour Party leader Tony Blair, as part of the Remain campaign in the European Referendum.
The visit was so peaceful, both men took time out to walk the city’s iconic Peace Bridge.
It was a far cry from the welcome Mr Major received when, as Prime Minister, he visited Derry’s Tower Museum in May 1995.
As this video of news clips from the time shows, his visit sparked clashes between protestors and the RUC.
