Rev Fr Seán Ó Cearbhalláin S.J., Hong Kong (Formerly of Derry) - In Loving Memory of Rev Fr Seán Ó Cearbhalláin S.J. (Carlin), August, 23 2026, peacefully at his residence in Hong Kong. Formerly of 12 Elmwood Street, Derry. Eldest son of the late Neil and Lizzie Carlin. Much loved brother of Rev. Bro. Pearse, Veronica Saunders, Peter, Seamus, Siobhan O’Donnell and the late May, Noel, Eamonn, Terence, Betty and Brian. Cherished brother-in-law of Claire, Una, Gretta, Maura, Eugene and the late Tony, Phyllis, Brendan and Paula. Beloved uncle to all his nieces, nephews and their families. Dear cousin to the Carlin, Devine and McFadden families. A Requiem Mass will be held in St Eugene’s Cathedral Derry on Saturday, September 5 at 3:30 pm. Mass may be viewed on the Cathedral webcam. Fr Seán’s Funeral Mass will take place in Hong Kong on Sunday, September 6 at 12:30 pm (Irish Time). Burial will take place in Hong Kong on Monday, September 7, 70 years from the day he entered the Society of Jesus. Lexie Henry, Coleraine - The death has occurred of Lexie Henry, August 30, Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Cherish husband of Anne and father of Joanna Patrick and the late Debbie Henry. Stepfather of Caroline Boyle, Russell Morrison and Gavin Morrisson. A grandpa and great grandpa and brother of Ellen. Lexie will be reposing in J. A. Gormley’s Funeral Home, 24 Cloyfin Rd, Coleraine BT52 2NU on Wednesday, September 2. Visitors welcome to call 6pm to 8pm. Funeral strictly private at Lexie’s request. Bernadette Leung (née Browne), 67 Amelia Court, Derry - The death has taken place of Bernadette Leung (née Browne), August 28 2026, peacefully at Deanfield Nursing Home, beloved wife of Patrick Coyle, loving mother of Elaine, Selina, Simon and Gavin, dear daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Browne (formerly of Rinmore Drive), cherished sister of Ellen, Robert and the late Joe and Con. Loved and will be sadly missed by her wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Bernadette will be reposing at her home, 67 Amelia Court. Funeral leaving her home on Wednesday, September 2 at 10:20 a.m. to St. Joseph’s Church, Galliagh for Requiem Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.
