The following deaths have occurred:-

Jennifer Beattie (née Brown), Eglinton - It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Jennifer Beattie (née Brown), August 21 2026 unexpectedly at home, Eglinton, Jennifer, dearly loved wife of the late Ian, much loved mother of Graeme, Matthew and the late Philip, mother-in-law of Natalie and very dear grandmother of Patrick, Owen, Finlay and Jude and beloved daughter of the late Rev Herman and Edith. Service of Thanksgiving on Saturday, August 29 2026 at 3pm in Faughanvale Presbyterian Church, Eglinton, burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Faughanvale Presbyterian Church c/o DJM Robinson & Son Funeral Directors, 121 Culcrum Road, Cloughmills. BT44 9DT. Lovingly remembered. Kay and Harry Hamill (née McClintock), Ontario, Canada (both formerly of Derry) - It is with regret we announce the passing of Kay Hamill (née McClintock, formerly of Little James Street), died December 11 2024 at her home in Ontario, Canada and her husband Harry Hamill, (formerly of Waterloo Street), died May 7 2026 at his home in Ontario, Canada. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Eugene’s Cathedral on Saturday, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on their souls. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for them.

Richard John Archibald (Archie) Loughery, Walk Mills, 157 Drumsurn Road, Limavady - The death has taken place of Richard John Archibald (Archie) Loughery, Passed away peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on August 25 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Much loved husband of Margaret, Loving father of Richard, Rachel, Jayne and Emma dear Father in law of Andrés, Ewan, devoted grandfather of Roan, Ella, Archer and Finlay. All welcome to call at the family home, Walk Mills, 157 Drumsurn Road, Limavady. Funeral will leave his late home on Thursday at 12.30pm for service in Balteagh Parish Church at 1pm Followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please donations if desired and cheques payable to Balteagh Parish Church and forwarded to Browns Funeral Directors, 21 Aghanloo Ind Est Aghanloo Road, Limavady. Archie will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his entire family circle and friends.

William (Willie) McKenna, 9 Forgetown Rd, Draperstown - The death has taken place of William (Willie) McKenna (Desertmartin), August 25 2026, Peacefully at Antrim Area Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Late of 9 Forgetown Rd, Draperstown. Son of the late Mark and Mary McKenna. Brother of Ann, Sarah, Rosaleen Heron, Christina Kiely, John, Michael and the late infant Eamon, Mark and Marie Bates. William will be reposing in J. A. Gormley’s Funeral Home, 1 Main St, Maghera, BT46 5AA Thursday, August 27 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Visitors welcome.vRequiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Coolcalm on Friday, August 28 at 3pm. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
