The following deaths have occurred:-

Eamonn Deane, 63 Marlborough Street, Derrry - The death has occurred of the late Eamonn Deane, August 26 2026, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved husband of Sally, loving father of Gerard (Maíreád), Fionnuala (Michael), Aoife (John) and Brendan (Rachel), devoted grandfather of Cormac, Eiméar, Anna, Róan, Sally, Jo, Connor and Clodagh, dear son of the late Frank and Winnie, cherished brother of Una, Deirdre and the late Eilis, Liam, Seamus and Gerard, sadly missed by his cousins, friends and the wider family circle. Eamonn will be reposing at his home, 63 Marlborough Street on Friday from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. Funeral leaving his home on Saturday, August 29 at 1:00 p.m. to the City Cemetery for interment at 1:30 p.m.

Paul Doherty, 41 Bracken Park, Derry - The death has taken place of Paul Doherty, August 27 2026, peacefully at Meadowbank Care Home. Beloved son of Irene and the late Pius., loving brother of Mark, Damien, David, Peter, Martina, Cecelia, Martin, Denise, Stephen, Philip and Colm, Brother in law of Bobby, Christine, Eilish, Nicole and the late Majella and Neil and a much loved uncle. Paul will be reposing in his home, 41 Bracken Park, on Friday from 12 to 10 p.m. Funeral from there on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. for 11 o'clock Requiem Mass in Saint Joseph's Church, Galiagh. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Sylvia Forsythe (née Kerr), 21 Lindsayville, Ballyronan - The death has occurred of Sylvia Forsythe (née Kerr), August 26 2026, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, dearly beloved wife of the late Ian, 21 Lindsayville, Ballyronan, much loved and devoted mother of Arlene, Kenneth and Mark, dear mother-in-law of Mark and Joanne, loving granny of Adam, Lee and James and dearest sister of Gladys, William and Edmund. House strictly private. Family and friends welcome at Garvin’s Funeral Home, 15 Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt, BT45 6BP on Saturday evening (August 29) from 7:00pm – 8:30pm. Funeral from Garvin’s Funeral Home on Sunday (August 30) at 2:00pm for service in Saltersland Presbyterian Church at 2:30pm followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Margaret Thelma (Rita) Moore, 3 Drumachose Park, Limavady - It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Margaret Thelma (Rita) Moore, Passed away peacefully at her own home, 3 Drumachose Park, Limavady on August 27 2026. Much loved wife of Anthony, Devoted Mother of Janet, Elaine (Nigel), Sandra, Tony (Emma), And the late Baby Moore. Devoted Grandmother of Jan, Aaron, Kellie, Ryan, Liam, Taylor, Jodie, Poppy, Reggi, Rhianna. Great Grandmother of Harvey, Brooke, Casey, Baillie, Travis, Hallie, Heath, Rossa, Jackson, Rudi, Croia, Jayla, Rowan, Milo and Ari. Also a loving Sister. All welcome to call at the family home on Friday from 11am to 10pm. Funeral will leave her late home on Saturday at 12.15pm for service in Limavady Independent Methodist Church at 1pm followed by burial in Dungiven Parish Church Burial ground.
